The first season of Mortal Kombat Legacy is a prequel to the original game, explaining the background stories of several characters from the series and demonstrating their reasons for participating in the upcoming tenth Mortal Kombat tournament on which the first game was based.

“It's a great show. Slightly low budget but it's free so you can't expect much else. Has a huge portion of the Mortal Kombat characters like Jax, Sonya, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, and Scorpion to name just a few. Great thing to check out if you have time and like the franchise.”
